Heather's Bucks County Real Estate Blog: Smart Clients are Always a Joy

Smart Clients are Always a Joy

I've begun working with new clients, and they are a complete joy to work with.  Why?  'Cause they're so darn SMART!

Here's a few things that they're doing that are going to pay off for them...big time:

  • They've decided to sell their home first, then buy.  They'll know exactly how much money they have to work with.  More than that, they won't have that excruciating stress of selling their home under the gun because they are making two mortgage payments. They can get the right price for their home, rather than having a fire sale to stop the bleeding.
  • They're educating themselves on the market before they begin the process.  When they sell their home, they'll know exactly where they want to look, and exactly what price range.  They'll be serious, committed, EDUCATED buyers who know the price/condition/market and are ready to see a home and make an offer.
  • They're just so rational, realistic, and excited about the process.

On top of this, they're a blast to shop with and talk to.  They also have a cute baby, and she smiles at me a lot because I'm her favorite ;)

The market is filled with these people.  We're so used to hearing about desperation and foreclosures and "Seller says make an offer!" that we forget that there are people out there who are joyfully selling and buying.  And when we work with them, well, it's a joyful relationship all around.

Thanks for reminding me of that Brian and Dana!

I know exactly what you are saying. I had a young couple like that back in the Fall and they really impressed me.

I know what you are saying I feel so lucky to be selling second home property first the buyers looking are smart, and qualified (and know it) and they don't have to sell anything before they buy. Late but not least they are enjoying the life and life style when we are looking a vacation home options so It's usually more fun than stress.

Glad you posted this. I do like buyers, but I am about ready to jump with my current buyers. Lovely, but very indecisive, people. We're still looking at houses even though we're under contract. Buyer's remorse, but I'm hoping they come through it soon. The inspection period is nearly over and they'll need to finally decide.

I'm originally from Abington, btw. How's spring back in PA? I miss the Spring and Fall there. But I love AZ and am so glad to be here. Enjoy the lilacs,

Heather - Brian & Dana sound very astute indeed.  They are the type of folks that make all of our jobs easier.  And it doesn't hurt that their baby likes you:-)

Customers Like this make the job fun again. It's much better than the duress some customers are under in this market.

Remember them unfortunately not all sellers/buyers are created equal.

You are working with educated consumers. As you say, there are many such buyers in this generation.

Julie - Don't jump ship yet! :)  And Winter is holding tight here in Bucks County.  Today is mild, but not "Hey, let's hang out on the front porch" mild.  Spring is coming, though...

Thanks for all the comments.  It's just important to remember that there are people out there that aren't in distress, or divorcing, or selling a beloved family home.  Usually, for most Buyers and Sellers, moving is something positive and FUN.

Oh the buyer who looks at at $300k house where the sellers agent has told us that the sellers are motivated.  "Think they'd take $150k?"  sigh!
