Karen and I had this discussion on Facebook one day, too. (insert rioutously funny MLS descriptions)
I'll never forget the first time my husband and I pulled up to a "fixer-upper." It was the first house we had ever gone to see. My husband, who NEVER curses, sat in the car with a look of shock on his face, and said, "Oh my God...this place is a...is a...is a...shithole!"
We'll never see that in the comment section of the MLS!
Sometimes you get so tired of wading though the mumbo jumbo of bubbly and giggly real estate ads. This home is adorable! This home is COZY! This home is NESTLED among TOWERING TREES...blah, blah, blah, blah.
Sometimes I'd like to see more realistic ads:
- This Is One Ugly House, But It's Priced Like a Palace!
- The Kitchen Floor Is Ugly As Sin
- Dark Interior Will Appeal to the Vampire In You
- Relive Those Funky 70's With These Authentic Ugly Rugs!
- Got Oxygen Mask? You'll Need It In This Smelly Place
- More Rustic than The Ponderosa But Nowhere Near As Nice
- No Ghosts Here - They Were Afraid and Left!
- BYOB - Bring Your Own Bulldozer!
- Would Make A Great Brothel
- It's Priced Cheap - What Do You Expect?
- All That's Missing is the Condemned Notice
- JUST LIKE A SCENE FROM "BREAKING BAD"
